With our Culture to Adventure pass from the Washington County Library, Lisa , her mom, and I were able to enjoy the Japanese Gardens this morning free of charge.

Lisa and I took advantage of OMSI’s free Educator Night to tour the Art of the Brick exhibit.  We had seen this exhibit a few years ago but this new one showed different art pieces.

This is the third annual Washington County Team Up For Students 5K run and walk to benefit Washington County Schools. This is also the third consecutive year that Lisa and I have participated. Last year Mike and I ran the course and did burpees after every mile. However this year Mike is out for the weekend so it was just me and Lisa to run or walk the course. Since I am training for my half marathon in Seattle next month this was a great opportunity for me to get in a longer run. So instead of doing the 5K, I ran the course twice and did 10K.
